Speed Problem

I've got a bit of a funny problem

Thing is that when i leave the lights in the auto/tunnel mode and am driving reasonably fast (round 160km/hr) the lights switch on and stay on but if i am to cruise at around 110-120kms the auto feature works perfect (on when i enter tunnels and off when i'm out).....any of u guys been experiencing similar problems coz it's really pissing off

Correct; they are set to come on when 130kph (80 mph) is exceeded for more than 10 seconds.

It says so in the handbook.

Personally; I have my headlights switched on all the time (mostly) on a 'daylight running' basis.

I am though thinking of getting a set of these instead;- PIAA LAMPS and mounting them in the lower radiator grille.

Only works if you have the 'auto lights' option; not a feature of 'standard' lights.

WHY turn it off?

It is set up for obvious safety reasons and IMHO headlights/daytime running lights should be on all the time.

Re: Speed Problem

You should have lights on all the time especially if you are going to break the speed limit.........

Mr Stormer,
I remember seeing running lights for the octavia2 from milotech as an advertisement for their new 2008 catalogue. They were fitted on a red octavia in the lower grille.

Looked V.nice IMHO. Unfortunately i can't remember which website it was. DOH!
I'll have another look and post if i find anything.
