Steering Wheel position

With a few weeks ago the steerring column computer was replaced with a new one. It was defective from the manufacture site. After this operation the steering wheel ramain in a quite wrong position - it is not very well aligned (a little rotated to the left - very little) Is it possible to change the position of the steering wheel without going to service site. I am asking because behind the sterring wheel is a sensor witch send to the main computer info about steering wheel position. If I am changing the steering wheel position without reseting the zero position it will be possible to have somme servodirection stability problems ?
Please tell me witch is the recomendad solution to change the steering wheel position.
Also please tell me if it is necessary to reset the senzor information frm the sterring wheel behind to zerro, after this alignament ? Also the way to do this (shurely using vag-com)

Many Thanks !

Re: Steering Wheel position

Yes you can do it but you would need to remove the airbag first.

Quite a simple job and you'll need an M10 splined tool to do it.
