Try something else, for my curiosity (I didn't need an alarm on mine).

Go in, disable the alarm sensors with the B pillar button and do the same. Wonder if it stays off.

I'll do it tomorrow, I'm in enough trouble with the missus having the alarm go off twice at 11pm

Yes it did on mine.

Also noticed that when you press the B pillar button the light goes on, but when you first arm the car the light goes off, and didn't come back on after that during the locking/unlocking.
