Re: vRS Alarm

The beeps are a late addition to the Octavia, you can VAG-COM lock and unlock beeps if desired.

What safety wotsit?

Is that the official Skoda designation for it?

Seatbelt pre-tensioner perhaps?

Wouldn't that depend on the sensor being disconnected instead of the bongs only being turned off via VAG-COM?

Re: vRS Alarm

Both our MY08's didn't, they just chirped on lock only, the maxidot would only toggle the lock chirp. I had to enable the double unlock chirp with the laptop.

Was just the fact that i noticed the button on the drivers side door pillar to disable the interior monitoring. Definately did not have that on my 07 plate vRS.

That button is used to disable the interior sensors when you lock the car and pop to the shops and a) leave the kids in the back b) leave the dog in the boot or c) leave the wife doing her nails!

Been mentioned before, can easily be enabled/disabled with VagCom
