You can get smaller tailpipes. Personally I think it looks great, quite OEM looking like the RS4

So... if you had the choice, i.e. you could only go for 1 over the next 12 months plus, would you go for;

a) the RS4 looks and sound of an exhaust system (plus a few more bhp) like that..... or

b) the power of a stage 1 Revo ??????

I would have to say (b) as I am now considering this anyway....

So to spend £60 to take a silencer out is better than £350 + for a new system. Isn't it?

Just wanted to know if there was any particular negatives i.e. it will change the back pressure and mess up the turbo or something? Perhaps? or not?
I drove from Garston to get my Race cat made & fitted by Pipewerx

The Powerflow in St Albans made my a straight through pipe for my Ibiza TDi £70 fitted

Re: vRS Launch with Pipewerx Exhaust

Just listened to this again (with decent speakers); I think the little bit of overrun pop, pop, pop at the end is quite cute!

Which bit did you get them to make 'straight through'? Did you have a de-cat or take out one of the silencers?

I'm thinking (for min cost) of just taking out the middle silencer, although I know a new backbox would be more effective (but costly).

Re: vRS Launch with Pipewerx Exhaust

Cheers.

I didn't intend to launch it fully (sandy road surface in places, wouldn't get traction anyway)

Just wanted to give you an idea of what its like at slower speeds

I'm disappointed that no-one has yet got around to doing an exhaust for the vRS TDI. but I'm thinking of just getting the centre silencer box removed and replaced with some straight pipe. This ought to give less back pressure and make is less quiet. Any major downsides that anyone can think of?

What it does throw up is that, if you look at the back box only, you need an 'adaptor' that is different for TFSI vs. TDI. I wonder why? Different tube diameter perhaps?
