| What should a new VRS TDI cost? A hatch, with cruise, heated seats, metallic paint and parking sensors. DtD suggests £16749 (no 18" alloys or dual zone aircon); what'd you think a dealer could be beaten down to? I think I'd actually rather not have the 18s, but the jumbo box and rear leccy windows would be nice. Ta muchly. |

PS> the 18s, jumbo, climate, rear leccy winds is still on 'offer' from Skoda UK; you'd be daft not to take it up. I'm sure you could find a set of 17s to buy later (they are available on here from time to time).

| Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost? Aye - I'd seen the offer but wasn't sure if the dealers would use it as an excuse to reduce discounts. Ta. ![]() |

| Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost? I think i read somewhere on here that the offer bahnstormer mentioned is in fact a £900 discount that can be used in any way by the dealer. So if you dont want 18's (£450) you could use that money elsewhere including off the sale proce ![]() |

| Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost? I thought it was a little different. I thought the free upgrades cost the dealer a sum (£350 is ringing a bell).

| Briskodian | Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost? I was also told £900 "to play with" when I bought mine.. Don't be scared of the 18" wheels - they look much better and dont affect the ride quality much over the 17's (not sure whether they handle better). Admittedly tyre price is steeper, but only by about £20/wheel. The 18's will be much more desirable at resale time as well. |

| Briskodian | Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost? the extras are £900 to play with. I bought my VRS TDI estate for not more than that price form a Skoda main dealer (arrived 5 days ago!!!). Took some haggling but got there in the end. |

| Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost? I got a petrol vRS with the options you want plus xenons and maxidot for less than list price of a bog standard car. This included the free wheel and jumbo box upgrade.
