What should a new VRS TDI cost?

A hatch, with cruise, heated seats, metallic paint and parking sensors. DtD suggests £16749 (no 18" alloys or dual zone aircon); what'd you think a dealer could be beaten down to?

I think I'd actually rather not have the 18s, but the jumbo box and rear leccy windows would be nice.

Ta muchly.

Give a couple a call - assuming you are 'ready to buy' you should be able to get a pretty cracking deal.

PS> the 18s, jumbo, climate, rear leccy winds is still on 'offer' from Skoda UK; you'd be daft not to take it up. I'm sure you could find a set of 17s to buy later (they are available on here from time to time).

Look on drive the deal then see if your local dealers can beat or match it.

Also worth speaking to Ants on here as I hear he got a really good price on a skoda or two

So as it's a Skoda UK offer it shouldn't affect my being able to batter the dealer price?

Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost?

Aye - I'd seen the offer but wasn't sure if the dealers would use it as an excuse to reduce discounts. Ta.

Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost?

I think i read somewhere on here that the offer bahnstormer mentioned is in fact a £900 discount that can be used in any way by the dealer. So if you dont want 18's (£450) you could use that money elsewhere including off the sale proce

Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost?

I thought it was a little different. I thought the free upgrades cost the dealer a sum (£350 is ringing a bell).

Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost?

I was also told £900 "to play with" when I bought mine..

Don't be scared of the 18" wheels - they look much better and dont affect the ride quality much over the 17's (not sure whether they handle better). Admittedly tyre price is steeper, but only by about £20/wheel. The 18's will be much more desirable at resale time as well.

Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost?

the extras are £900 to play with. I bought my VRS TDI estate for not more than that price form a Skoda main dealer (arrived 5 days ago!!!). Took some haggling but got there in the end.

Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost?

FWIW you should get a stonking price with the new common rail version just around the corner.

Re: What should a new VRS TDI cost?

I got a petrol vRS with the options you want plus xenons and maxidot for less than list price of a bog standard car. This included the free wheel and jumbo box upgrade.
