| Whats it worth?? Thinking of selling privately............. 2004 ’54 Reg Skoda Octavia Elegance 2.0 TDi (140 BHP) Sahara Beige Metallic Description : 1 Owner, 6 Speed Manual, 92,000 miles. Serviced every 10k VW recall - flywheel and clutch replaced approx 35k Engine, turbo, intercooler and exhaust system replaced at 54k due to turbo failure New discs and pads at 90k service Any ideas what I should be asking?? |

Its a similar age to mine which I traded in recently, but higher miles. http://briskoda.net/forums/cars-sale...r-sale/109542/ I got £7,000 - £7,400 trade in value (depending on whether you put the haggling over cost to change as a higher trade in value or a lower price on the car I bought). The car is up at £8,500 at the dealers, but I suspect they have at least £750 of negotiation in that, so say £7,750 If you knock off £1000 as its a private sale, and another £1000 because of the higher miles, I'd say you are at around £5750 if you are lucky, but not much more than the trade in values. Bear in mind the market is pretty quiet at the moment. What Car has similar values, with.... Dealer £6,565 Private £5,430 Part exchange £5,190 Trade £4,840
