Give the man a medal

This blokes got the right idea.......

"A Swiss driver flashed by a speed camera attacked it with a pick axe, ran it over with his car and threw it off a cliff.

The motorist used the pick axe to smash the camera free from its mountings, then drove what was left up a mountain to throw it off a cliff.

He was doing nearly 50mph in a 30mph zone through the Swiss village of La Punt Chamues-ch in the Alps when he was flashed by the camera.

The film and camera were destroyed, but he was spotted by police as he threw the device off the cliff and arrested.

He faces a fine of up to £13,000 for destruction of public property."

I heard a tyre put over the unit, filled with petrol/diesel, then lit is a good way of destroying them. Makes you think about retaining your old tyres, eh?

OK

Suggested this before, new national sport, paintballing Speed Cameras, see how many you can get in one night, different coloured paint for each competitor. If you get caught the fine for removing some paint from glass will be somewhat less than paying for a camera.

Another example of rip-off Britain In Switzerland it apparently costs £13000 to replace the camera yet we have to pay £30000 for a camera ...sounds suspiciously like Mr Plod has a scam going ...

where do i sign up for NSPA (National Speedcamera Paintballing Association)?

Ive got 'Gwent/Monmouthshire' covered.

I heard a story once which made me chuckle.

Basically, a few guys walked up to a mobile speed camera van and knocked on the door and started talking to the police officer inside. Whilst this was going on a different guy unscrewed the reg' plates off the front and back of the van. They then attached them onto one of the groups cars and commenced driving around the local area attempting to get flashed/caught by as many cameras as possible inc. the one in the Van.

They then returned the reg’ plates onto the van and that was that. Not sure if it would work in practice but sounds like a bloody good idea. However i do not condone the use of speeding and agree that offenders should have their cars taken off them and crushed appropriately.

Happy Motoring.

Apparently a piece of chewing gum over the sensor eye of the old style rear photoing cameras will render them useless and they will still appear undamaged

Where do I sign?

That is, as long as the paint-firing implements don't look like imitation real guns - might get me shot in the head 8 times in London
