Re: Hammonds at it again.

Heard about this. A Golf TDI won the diesel class, beating this BMW by 128 laps. Probably because of this incident. Golf was 13th overall too beating loads of more powerful cars due to it's ability to stay out for 3 hours on a full tank of fuel. Sounds like fun - 24 hours at Silverstone.

Re: Hammonds at it again.

Is that really newsworthy, BBC?! Shame Mr Hammond didn't get to comment either as I'm sure the car had developed a misfire

Re: Hammonds at it again.

It's stretching it a bit isn't it - having an off at Silverstone in a big production BMW (struggling to think of a safer car to be in) becomes "Top Gear presenter in an another crash". Er, no.

It's just shameless BBC self-promotion.

Re: Hammonds at it again.

I heard this reported on the ITV news this morning. Why? He slid off the track and then continued the race - far from newsworthy

Re: Hammonds at it again.

I just heard this. Apparently he was "speeding": Em he was in a <censored> motor race Radio 2!

Not only not newsworthy, but yet another example of not just poor but actively misleading reporting.
