I've had my new laptop for a couple of weeks now and have been using it hard wired because I didn't have a wireless router. After obtaining a router () and having some teething problems with it, I come home from work tonight to be greeted with the wireless all set up and finally working, although we don't know how!

Now my imagination is working overtime thinking of all the places I can use it. I have been abandoned for the night, so I may take it to bed with me in a moment just because I can

Well, yes, there are some safety aspects I would find concerning about using electrical items in a bath, but those pushing the boundaries of achivement must sometimes overlook such concerns.

Wish I was wireless - tried to set mine up on Sunday, bu**ered the desktop up. Plugged it al in and couldn't get access to the router to set it up. Eventually managed to get to the router but buggered the network up whilst doing so. Disconnected it all and wired the cable modem back up to find I'd knackered the settings fo rthat so had to set that all up again.

Gave up and called it a deay so will try again next w/e.

At the office with my new eee toy I've succeeded to connect to the old wlan that is soon to shut down, but not to the new one that needs encryption and authentification that are not built into my little laptop... so I'm trying to understand geekspeak like
