| Re: Miss piggy RSI and no broadband I have had RSI from texting before. I used to have a phone with a really stiff keypad. What is scary is I was on 1000 minutes anytime, and was using them all. Cut back now to 500 minutes anythime now I have a landline, slightly more affordable phone bills!

| Re: Miss piggy RSI and no broadband Anyone actually thought that PHONING would be a good idea to save from RSI? Saves all the bloody back and forth texts. With my new talk plan I'm hoping for as many cross network minutes as possible, and then a few txts alone will sufice me. ![]()

| Re: Miss piggy RSI and no broadband RSI from texting? Perhaps someone should come up with abbreviations for common words so that it's not necessary to make as many keystrokes. Must confess, I'm slightly surprised since I'd have thought that anyone worth his/her salt would have had thumb RSI from PS2 etc long before they got a phone. Perhaps texting is the cumulative icing on the cake Get well soon MissP ![]() PS - No point texting me, as my phone was nicked in mid June. I'm in that hiatus period of not knowing what to get now and monitoring just how hard life is without one anyway. Gonna have to decide soon though before desperation sets in ![]() Mo |

| Re: Miss piggy RSI and no broadband Hi MissP Glad it's getting better - mine befell me completely out of the blue when I woke up one day and it took a good month to recover proper usage I gather it can be permanent, as of itself, meaning aside from any arthritis-type implications.I took it as very abrupt wake-up call re what to avoid etc, so as hopefully to avoid another attack. It was quite scary, I have to say. There are two threads (at least) on here about it, which might be worth a look at. Continuous use is one of things that's always top of the list - i.e. take a break every 20 minutes (both hands and body position.) Slow dial-up could be your friend, believe it or not. Best Mo |

| Re: Miss piggy RSI and no broadband Wrist tends to go first if you use unnatural angles and/or make very repetitive moves ![]() In the case of dialup it also depends if you have a two-hour cutoff causing you to have to hit that redial button ![]() Out of interest, who was the ISP?

| Re: Miss piggy RSI and no broadband Might as well - apparently they're decent enough ![]() I've had Zen and Pipex for ADSL, and NTL for cable, for several years now. Costs more but I've never had no bb access (that said I've got two load balancers so if one goes down it will fail over transparently ) - OTT for most people that though ![]()

) and even talk talk can't get a toehold here as the local exchange isn't due to be unbundled for a while, 2 meg will do everything I need for a while and I think that plusnet has a 8 Gb download a month for £14.99 so will see how that goes

| Re: Miss piggy RSI and no broadband I like Plusnet although their "fair usage" policy can be a bit of an inhibitor Still, been upgraded from my 2Mb account to up-to-8Mb now for free ![]() Chris
