New Skoda vRS owner!!!

Hi,

I picked up my well new to me octavia VRS. What a car!!! Does every thing it says on the tin! I didn't realise how fast these things are for a big car. Good on fuel too! I'm well chuffed

Most of the models in the Octavia range are surprisingly competent cars. Glad to hear you like your new vRS!

Newquay to Manchester on a tank (brim to light)...on her maiden voyage, never really done much better owing to a heavy right foot, luggage or people / traffic.

so the book MPG figures are a bit optimistic then? Is everyone using 98 ron? or is it fine to use 95 ron?

allways used shell optimax myself, seemed okay to me.

and yes book figures are allways optimistic, i find.

I got 28.8 mpg from West mids down to mid Wales with a caravan on the back and that was booting it off every island on the A5 laughing at cars trying to pass!! Around 35mpg on it's own!

I'd be happy with 35mpg, I'm getting about 40mpg with the clio.
