survival techniques for going to xmas do straight after work at 9pm

Tomorrow night is my works xmas do. I have spent the afternoon shopping for different outfits and thank god one of them is suitable

Now, I'm working a late shift tomorrow until 9pm so will have to nip into the loo before I leave to get changed etc.

I have been given the opportunity to not drive, not that only having one drink stopped me having a great time last year

so i need some survival techniques to see me through the day and night. I hate getting ill and eating something will help but obviously I can't cook a three course meal at work. What would be a good choice of food to take with me that will soak up the alcohol but not blow my tummy up like a balloon? The dress I'm wearing is quite fitted and the last thing I want is somebody asking me if I'm expecting

Chips always works for me, then again I don't normally wear fitted dresses.

I used to preffer the chips method but switched over to the rabbit food (salad) lately in a last ditch effort to reduce weight

. As for soaking up alcohol though - I dont drink

so cant help you with that one

It happened last year and the person came into work on crutches the next day *

* I have no idea whether he was wearing tummy sucking pants though
