Too Pee or Not Too Pee.................

.......Just been out with Sam my Jack Russel and every 5 yards it's a stop and sniff, then Kocks the leg and out comes a dribble.....Thing is " Do they Pee on the nasty smells or the Sweet smelling ones "???.....................................

I think dogs find any smell interesting, bad and good smells

Luckily, we humans cannot smell them too

He might have prostrate trouble Andy.
I'd take him to the vet's for a check up.

Just what I was going to say. It could be that he is just marking his territory or it could be prostrate trouble, urine infection etc... Unless it is just when you are out walking him!

Or you could always just stick your finger up his little canine bottom and if he is really mans best friend, he will just wag his tail and wee on you, or if he is poorly he will lacerate your sausage fingers to signify he is unwell.

dos he get up loads a times anite for a leak - and only does adribble if so get him to the vets -

if theres been alot of dog activity in the area then he will pee whenever he gets a new smell!....that could be every couple of steps!.....when i take my dog (thats her on my avatar) up on the hill she pee every couple of feet as lots of other dogs have been up there and she thinks its her hill !!

It sounds normall to me. Dogs should pee in small doses and quite often, the pee should be a straw colour and not strong smelling.

If you are concerened, then get woofer to the vet. No harm in getting a medical check to be on the safe side.
