| Unusal sight on the way to work this morning! Driving along my normal route to work this morning and through the scenic holyrood park and noticed a police accident sign on the road and thought to myself now what thinking it would just be a couple of cars involved I rounded the bed to find a 4x4 on it's roof and the cops questioning the driver, looks like he came round the bend and lost control and ended up on his roof.Anybody else seen anything spectacular on their way to work over the years.

| Re: Unusal sight on the way to work this morning! I've seen a taxi (Volvo) on one of the ring roads around Heathrow that obviously tried to cut a roundabout too closely and much to fast (straight across). The wheel (still attached to the hub etc) was by the curb on the centre of the roundabout and the Volvo was junked about 50ft down the road with its O/S front corner ripped off.. ![]()

| Re: Unusal sight on the way to work this morning! it was at the duddingston end just before the road bends to the right, must have cleared it up by the time you passed through.

| Re: Unusal sight on the way to work this morning! see it's made front page of the evening news, that will in turn mean more traffic patrols in the park with speed guns I would guess!

| Re: Unusal sight on the way to work this morning! To be honest, thats a good thing. Far too many idiots flying throught the park, and with summer coming up, a lot of tourists about who seem to just wander about the park not realising it's a public road. |

Strangely enough, I've also seen a huge rocket on the back of a lorry - it was a couple of years ago in Notts.

| Re: Unusal sight on the way to work this morning! I used to have a tendancy to see things when driving in the dark at night. I could be driving down an open road and be sure I could see a figure in the distance so i would slow right down not to hit it. Must of been annoying for anyone behind me. Not done it recently that i can think of think it was in the first few years a passing my test. |

| Re: Unusal sight on the way to work this morning! I've seen that before. I've also seen a Police car with the front wheels on one side ot a drainage ditch, and the rears on the other side (on a straight road with a 40mph limit). |
