Re: Watch you back when filling your Fabia

Repost Chris but a good one, probably a Focus ST owner trying to get his own back for all the 2.0 litre Fabias that out ran him.......LOL

Could have been a lot worse though.

Just lock the bar across on the trigger of the pump and it will fill up and stop when full, well sometimes they stop when full.

You would have thought that after what happened the last time, he would have used a different pump...........

I must be really thick. I've been filling cars for 20 years and never noticed you could set the trigger to auto.

Re: Watch you back when filling your Fabia

When you pull the trigger to the top when filling there is usually a small lock bar that you can push forward to fill automatically.
More useful on lorries when your filling saddle tanks with a couple of hundred gallons, saves standing there all the time.

Re: Watch you back when filling your Fabia

Most fillers dont lock, as they are designed not to do it automatically any more!

This is due to the fact of them not always stopping.

For this reason, my dad carries a big paper clip round with him, and he puts it into the locking position, and then slides the paper clip across through the little holes.

It has always stopped for him, but it might not always, so he is always on the look out for it not.

By the way, he is filling up a van with a 130 litre tank, thats why he does it!
