Hmmm Where does this road lead???

So where does a narrow country lane full of potholes in the country lead to on the outskirts of edinburgh??

Well it leads to the scenic spot of glencorse reseviour where two furbys and a golf went to for a bit of scenic photo shoot last week while we attended a Scottish Vag meet. Myself, Skodagirl1985 (who was sleeping at the time!!), MUdpuppy and Gary from Scottish Vag went for a wee drive.

Here some of the pics.

Davy

Then I got a bit arty farty with with this pic

This might be the last you see of my car.... I'm not getting rid of it but in the next two to three weeks the car is about to undergo some nice wee mods.

Re: Hmmm Where does this road lead???

You turned my car pink!!

Nice pics Davy. It was a great location for a photoshoot, although the potholes were a bit extreme and Gary's car suffered a bit on the first run!

It's got me thinking of other local places to go for good pics now. I know there are loads of 'em, but they're eluding me!

Quite good at this investigative work aren't you....

BTW it was you with your amazing camera that started me getting into photography. Bought myself a Nikon D40 with a couple of lenses to get the hang of everything and now myself putting the money aside to buy a Nikon D300 and a couple of really nice lenses. I've even made a bit of money selling my photos from track days!

Re: Hmmm Where does this road lead???

Let's not start a massive Canon/Nikon debate on a Skoda forum!
I've never tried a Canon but I'll probably have a play with one before I shell out on a D300 only went to Nikon as I have got used to the little D40 quite easily.

What is the Canon equivilant to the D300?

James, I'm only winding you up, both manufacturers produce fine cameras.

I have my reasons for going the Canon route, You choose what you like best and don't listen to anyone else.

Re: Hmmm Where does this road lead???

Yep a 5300 is what has been used but within the last couple of weeks I picked up a panasonic lumix camera so expect better pics to be here soon, have a look at the north west region penrith carlisle meets or skodagirls best shot to date in this section of the forum.

Re: Hmmm Where does this road lead???

Always good to get out and about and get some good locations for car shots. I'm trying to think of places I can go locally myself at the moment, make a change from the backdrops to nearly all my car photos!

Oh, and to answer another part of this thread - I'd say the 40D was the best Canon rival for the D300 from that other camera manufacturer

Cheers,
Steve

A great photo ................... perhaps now, every one can now see how much fog lights dazzle everyone else on a clear day/night.
