| Introducing Douglas...... Our courtesy car for two hours! ![]() ![]() While the vRS went it for it's service and MOT on saturday we were given by Skoda a Fabia 2. At first I thought it was a 1.2 as it felt about gutless driving back to my folks and this is how the name came about as we told my mum it was gutless and she thought it was DOUGLAS!!! Only when I looked at the keyring did I notice it was a 1.6!! ![]() I will write up a review in the fabia 2 section but myself and Skodagirl1985 fell in love with this car we did not want to hand it back. At first I was not keen on the mark two when we drove it but it grows on you in such a short time. Anyhow I thought it would be cheeky not to stick up a few pics of Douglas, it's a bit dirty but what do you think?? Outside the folks house ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Re: Introducing Douglas...... I didn't like it at first. But after having a wee drive of it Ichanged my mind. I had to remind myself coming up to a roundabout it wasn't a VRS andnot to pull out in a gap that you can in the VRS. I just waited for the roundabout to clear. |

| Re: Introducing Douglas...... I'm not sure if it's the colour of the car but it looks a lot smaller at the front and overall it seems smaller, when you get in the inside it feels a lot bigger and you do sit very high up in it compared to the mark 1.

| Re: Introducing Douglas...... The Mk2 has grown on me i have to say! Think the 1.2 htp's are brilliant little engines and will still pull the car at a decent pace with 4 big guys in! Espcially when you take into account that its only a 3cyl engine too!!! But do like the looks etc. Phil |

| Re: Introducing Douglas...... I was once given a 1.2 Mk1 Fabia estate as a courtesy car. With delivery miles on the clock. It was so tight and slow I couldn't wait to get my 1.9tdi 100bhp Fabia back. Mind you the noise of the engine was good, especially at near the red line....lol

| Re: Introducing Douglas...... Well if you want to get me one for a wedding present I would be most delighted! I have a digital camera in the house somewhere, but just eats the batteries but will see if I can dig it out otherwise I might treat myself once I get paid again!
