Photoshop teaching wanted

the tutorial sticky on here about how to do a lowering 'chop is good, but does anyone know where I can find (or wants to put up) a tutorial on how to do things like
changing colour of a car but keeping the shading/reflections
smoothing off handles
putting the alloys/heatlights/grill of one car onto a different pic.

I know some of these things are probably simple, but no-one's ever taught me

really I'm only after recommendations if anyone knows something they found particularly helpful.

TBH hadn't noticed.

Just that a 'simple' explanation of all that you've outlined would probably run into a Brisky page or two.

Re: Photoshop teaching wanted

There's a lot of different techniques for changing colours as well, from blending modes to Hue and Colorising. You'll use different ones depending on the original & destination colours, or perhaps a combination of different ways.

I'd look at any PS tutorials concerning Masking and Adjustment Layers for a start. Look into blending modes if you want to start adding colour rather than changing it. The idea is that the high/lowlights and reflections are already there so it just the hue/colour that needs to change, not the actual image.

Smoothing things will be based around the Clone Tool and masking. There should be a wealth of info on these in a simple search.
