If you 'gun it' everywhere (and I do............ frequently ) then I have seen a noticable drop in fuel economy. Chris and I did pretty much the same trip at the weekend and wer'e both known for not holding back on the roads so the comparative overall consumption figures of 23.6mpg for me and 25.3mpg for Chris does indicate a difference.

That said, I have taken it a bit more sedately the last couple of days and easily reached mid 30's mpg which is comparable from before so the moral is, if you hoof it everywhere then be prepared to take a hit on economy.

Re: Hi Volume Fuel Pump - 2.0TFSI

Stu / anyone
Can you give me details of the supplier for the new internals for the fuel pump.
My brother and I both have the same fuel cut problem.
Brov saw a guy at Revo today who said the same we need an up-rated fuel pump, we are running Revo stg 11 with full turbo back.
He said look on here for details.

Thanks

Re: Hi Volume Fuel Pump - 2.0TFSI

It's in the post above but i'll post again.

BSH Speedshop - The guy I dealt with is called Phil.

You'll need to email them to arrange an order and I think you'll find the pump is on back order.

Re: Hi Volume Fuel Pump - 2.0TFSI

See what you mean !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could the fuel pump be disconnected from the fuel line and an electric high flow pump installed somewhere ?
Only a lay man's thought, could be talking ****.
Thanks

Re: Hi Volume Fuel Pump - 2.0TFSI

Yeah give it up mate. These are currently the only solutions, I've been following it for months.

You've either got to cough up or live with it.

Looks like I will be ordering 2 in the morning then.
Does it come apart easily by removing the large nut and inserting the new parts ?
Thanks

In reality you have a couple of options;

Live with it and do nothing and enjoy what you have..

Put back to standard if you can't..

Or invest in a solution that on the surface seems to work.........

Autotech solution so far does............

Re: Hi Volume Fuel Pump - 2.0TFSI

There are two fitments -

New cars have one metal pipe and one rubber, older ones have two metal. Newer is easier and the internals can be changed whilst the pump is still in the car.

If it is an older car the 'inner' Banjo bolt is a spline and not torx - don't feck anything up as the seals etc are not available seperately.

Very, Very important to make sure you put Cyl 1 at TDC before starting. It is possible to see the timing marks by removing the two torx bolts on the top of the cover and pulling it gently away.

You'll need an 18mm deep socket to get the large nut off/on.

Do not touch the pump when it arrives, wait until you fit it. The slightest corrosion will feck things up.

There isn't any need to fully strip the pump as shown in the instructions.

Also, you don't want to go dropping it on the driveway either...........not healthy....
