No beeping noise on select plus switch

Purchased the switch when I had the car remapped in May, everything has been working fine but tonight when I tried to alter the remaps mode the switch didn't make the usual beeping noise when connected.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Many thanks

Re: No beeping noise on select plus switch

Just a quick note to say that I posted the switch on Friday and it's arrived back today (Wednesday) repaired and with the added bonus of a free T-shirt.

Many thanks to Carl and everyone at Revo for the first class service!

Re: No beeping noise on select plus switch

How long did you leave it plugged into the car for? The switch was tested prior to sending out to you on three different ECU types. It remembers the last ECU type though so for the 'first use' after that in a different ECU it will take a couple of minutes to cycle through all the different ECU variants. We would advise leaving it plugged in for a few minutes!

Tried it tonight for 2 x 30 minutes and still nothing

I would just like to add that I'm not using this post to slag Revo off or anything like that but at the moment I'm working constant 06.00-18.00 shifts and our company doesn't allow phone calls for personal use but we have internet access so this is the only way of communicating with Revo.

Up until the last couple of weeks I've found the software to be very, very impressive and the switching to be trouble free and (just for me) foolproof. But like any modern gizmo from time to time you expect a little cough or splutter and I have full faith in Revo.

Here's to a quick (260ish bhp) solution.

Many thanks to Revo for the help so far

It's likely that you have a different problem, the 07-08 VRS has a different communication protocol, it's likely that your switch is an earlier version and not compatable. That's assuming you have had software installed into your new car!

Jackdee98 - that switch was fully tested here, so unless there's been an issue whilst shipping it in theory it 'should' work. Are you able to check whether there's a connection problem with your OBDII port? You've not been into the main dealer recently and had a service have you? Just wondering whether the software has been overwritten by a factory update?!
If not, to be doubly sure you could get the switch back to us (again!) and we'll go through all the testing on it, but send you a different one anyway. I'm sure we'll be able to get to the bottom of it!

Re: No beeping noise on select plus switch

Hi Kev,

No the car hasn't been to a dealer and I'm unable to check the OBDII port, I have tried using my laptop via the switch and it just kept asking me to check the connection.

I'll send the switch back tomorrow when I get in from work.

Many thanks
