Ok want some simple mods to get the most out of my Octy vRS mk2 What do people normaly have done? Im not a huge fan of open cone air filters tho so an alternative would be good. Also, Does it affect fuel ecomy that much? And also how much does it lower the reliability of the car?

Simplest, most rewarding and efficient mod to do would be stage1 software. Once you start changed the hardware; exhaust, intake, etc. your 'bang for buck' decreases. Software will give you a much improved drive and driven like for like won't decrease your fuel economy too much.

Agreed, only positives to be gained from remapping and you'll wonder why you had'nt done it before A remap also offers by far the biggest bang for your buck but to get the most out of it I would also suggest investing in a decent performance air filter from K&N or Pipecross!.
