Re: Remap and disconnecting the battery

In truth it didn't remove the map but timing advance was set back to normal which gave the impression of no map.

Re: Remap and disconnecting the battery

Ive just spoken to Revo, and they said if you disconnect the battery on the 2.0T FSI engines it will reset the timings back to 0. So either use your slect plus switch to reset the timnigs in software or visit the dealer!

Re: Remap and disconnecting the battery

Does this only affect the petrol engines or the diesel ones too?

Re: Remap and disconnecting the battery

Yeh spoke to the dude who did my car, he spoke to REVO and i believe it is only the 2.0 FSI and some other engine types. The 1.8T's are fine . My car has no noticeable drop in performance
