Second hand select handsets

I was just wondering what Revo's stance was on providing your own select handsets when remapping a new car (ie. handsets bought off ebay etc.)

Is there any problem using a second hand handset? How does it work with a new remap? Will the dealer be less than impressed with the individual providing their own handset?

For arguments sake I was thinking of purchasing a select plus second hand.

Any advice is most appreciated

Re: Second hand select handsets

The Select Switch has nothing to do with the map or mapping process and nothing is loaded or required to be loaded onto the switch.

In theory any Select Switch (although there have been some revisions to the switch to support different cars) can be used on a suitable REVO equiped car.

Re: Second hand select handsets

I would be tempted to buy a new Select Plus Switch as there has been a firmware/software update recently, thats not to say a second hand switch would not work!
