Default StageII REVO - 2.0T FSI

What are the main noticable differences between Stage I & II remaps. The write up claims it is 'more agressive' but exactly what does this mean, is it going to make day to day driving unbearable?.

Would also like to see the performance curves and figures one could expect from a stage II map.

Stage 2 software gives a wider range of adjustment to the software as well as slightly more aggressive/higher timing and boost/load levels as default. These can only be utilised by cars that are stage 2 spec though... ie: have a full turbo back exhaust and other bolt on mods.

Indicative power and torque graphs attached...

the 98ron Miltek curves and the Race fuel curves are stage2!

I would imagine Panel Air Filter, Carbonio or P/Flow. Don't think there is much else unless you go for the Neuspeed pulley or go silly with the second FMIC.

There are a range of mounting bushes to cope with the extra power.

I tried stage 2 matey, with a neuspeed p flow, and a full exhaust with 200 cel cat, and as with another map, it caused the car to cut out at 5500 rpm and above, in 3rd gear and higher. Can you shed any light on that. Cheers

As quoted by Shifty.. it wasnt just the Revo map that did this... something to do with a weak part in the turbo system not holding boost at high revs..
and i belive hes running revo at the moment too

I know someone else running stage II REVO and turbo back exhaust without this issue.

Had a long chat with Forge at Trax this weekend, in particular about the BOV and the problems with the weak diverter valve. They are currently developing a new stronger version of this component to compensate for higher boost pressures (apparantly the spring on the OEM version is no stronger than those used in a clicky biro!!).

Unfortunately though this is still in development and they would not commit to a possible release date.

But there is an OEM SEAT DV available with an uprated spring for the Leon Cupra 2.0T and I know this was retrofitted to a certain car and made no difference.

In the States the guy I was speaking to at RZ Motoring was mentioning they have had prob's with early mk5's and fuel pump / fuel pressure. He was going to mail me about it, I will give him a nudge as I was to busy nosing around their blinged up gallardo to be paying full attention.

I have mentioned that to said person already and checked the two other cars I have in my immediate vicinity. I think we ruled that out Tony.

Want me to PM you the info to check yours??

Hi Revo can you tell me what settings were used to obtain the 271.5bhp.

can you confirm the only performance mods were the Full milltek System and Revo stage 2 program. With stock air filter?

Also do you know what brand of fuel was used?

I am putting mine on a rolling road next month and want to emulate this graph to see how achievable it is.

Thanks.
