| Go Gadget Octy! | Re: Any Art Experts 5 goats, 10 if it's by Banksy. You'd really need to find an art valuer or 2 and average their estimates. If it's for insuarnce purposes rather than to sell, they'll give you a truer value than if they think they might grab a bargain from you. |

| Briskodian | Re: Any Art Experts Also, any "provenance", e.g. letter or post-it note (lol) saying in his hand it is a gift from himself to your friend could put a "0" on the end. One thing I'd think for your friend is to store it somewhere "neutral" (safekeeping) to be valued anonymously. I've watched enough Lovejoy progs to know that one wouldn't invite valuers around to one's home however reputable, given how word gets around. Being based on watching telly progs, feel free to ignore - or, well, maybe ask what Christie's would suggest...Auction House for Fine Art, Post-War, Modern, Contemporary Paintings, Jewelry, Wine | Bid Online | Christie's Interesting LowryMo Last edited by heresmo; 02-08-2008 at 02:01.
