Got a question for an art expert, is there any on here?

let me know if you know the value of paintings please!

5 goats, 10 if it's by Banksy.

You'd really need to find an art valuer or 2 and average their estimates. If it's for insuarnce purposes rather than to sell, they'll give you a truer value than if they think they might grab a bargain from you.

Its actually a LS LOWRY!

Long story, I dont own it, but I know a women who does.

And it was done for her years ago by the man himself!

and was wondering what she should insure it for basically! (Rough estimate really)

Then it really has to be properly insurance valued by a reputable dealer.

Could be hundreds or thousands. Could even be a lost masterpiece, of the mad years (or whatever)

Also, any "provenance", e.g. letter or post-it note (lol) saying in his hand it is a gift from himself to your friend could put a "0" on the end.

One thing I'd think for your friend is to store it somewhere "neutral" (safekeeping) to be valued anonymously. I've watched enough Lovejoy progs to know that one wouldn't invite valuers around to one's home however reputable, given how word gets around.
