its got a twin button dual flush cystern on it with the buttons being on the topof the cystern, you can't just pull it as it pulls on te mechanism, anybdy know how these lids come off?

The silver ring round the button you use to flush unscrews and that should release the lid. you will probably find that it is a plunger style rather than a ball valve but these are available at the local diy. Hope this helps

It will as they are one piece, there is a piece inside the button that the rod rests in. Keep going youve got it!

I've got something like this. Try this...

Get a thin screwdriver or simalar, then press down one of the buttons as far as you can. With the screwdriver gently lever the other button upwards. It should have a plastic clip on the end. You the remove the other clip the same way. Under the buttons is a nylon screw. Undo this and lift the assembly out. The top of the loo should then lift off. Refitting is just the reverse, and the bits will only go in one way round.

Hope this helps

success!!!

although i didn't actually do anything inside other than put the thing though the motions so to speak a few times it is now working fine

what was happening was water was constantly trickling from the cystern into the pan so the thing had to keep filling up every 15mins or so which was doing my head in.

seems fine now though
