apparently 600 fuel stations out of fuel in cornwall!

well thats what me mums just told me that she saw on the news!!

also driving past a shell garage today on the M5 they didnt even put a 1 infront of the pricing on the big billboard wich i thought was odd!! IE 136 and 124 would just be 36 and 24 any one else seen that?

I didn't think there were that many garages IN cornwall.

There certainly aren't mass shortages everywhere else

i thought cornwall only had 20 garages

i dont beleive all of them are out of fuel.

Thats where I am, for ages I've been meaning to pop some Shell V power in
me car. Like a fool I got up this morning and drove 10 miles to a Shell garage,
which had no diesel at all

Note to self: Shell delivery drivers have been on strike for 3 days

Yeah - It's around 650 country wide. My local texaco that I never use was coned off when I drove past this afternoon - no signs up saying no fuel - I just assumed they didn't. It's very much a local station for local people, so probably ran out faster than a mainstream garage.

5 minutes from Chiverton. Will stick with normal and do a Hayle run for Shell V power
when things get back to normal

Alot of the garage around us have been out of derv for a couple of days and some are now completely out apart from LPG!

you from down here originally then? i think theres only 4 shell garages that i know of in cornwall. theres one in truro, one at carland cross i used to work there

and one near plymouth and the one on the way to falmouth.

'Tis indeed I'm afraid. Notice put up on the pay at pumps saying use kiosks, ask at the kiosks and they tell you they've run out.

No diesel in Hayle today either, or Falmouth.

Asda are normally one of the first to run out because they're one of the cheapest. It's a bit silly really, if they invested in a larger tank they would be able to re-coup the money pretty quickly. They could always put a second one in the mine shaft next to it....

Asda around my way is derv only, one shell is V-Power only the others are all fine.

BP has as expected put 1p on the prices and the supermarkets don't seem to be having any problems.

Union t*t on the radio this morning was talking about an indefinite strike if they don't get their way. I'd just let them strike, off pay, and hire in companies to distribute the fuel and after the blockade I'm amazed they have not just built a big pipe to a few fuel stations close to the depots.

At the end of the day if shell suddenly wasn't there people would get by fine and just work around it, which is what they will do if that happens. Sure prices might be a touch higher, but next weekend people won't panic buy and many will have a fairly full tank anyway.

Just managed to get £20 worth of diesel at chivvy, very nearly out apparently.
Tesco at Redruth have some too apparenty

Asda out, Thremilestone out and Sainsbury's Truro out.
