| Hi. Bit of a strange request, but my old man's on holiday in Buenos Aires and has found something he wants to buy. But it's from a shop that doesn't take debit/credit cards, and so he needs to pay in cash. I'm not sure of the exact amount involved, but it's probably something between £500 and £1000. And he doesn't have that amount of cash around. He did enquire getting it out of an ATM with his debit card, but there's something like a £50 limit per transaction, and I know you get charged a commission and/or flat fee for taking money out, even with a debit card, so if he ends up having to do it several times, it'll end up being rather expensive. If I have the funds available in my account, what's the best way of getting it over to him in cash form? We have a week or so to do it so no major rush. I'll ask this on moneysavingexpert's forum, but as there are some very smart financial and tax people here I thought it'd be rude not to ask here too ![]() Cheeers as always.
