They burn magnificently ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For that reason lifeboats carry a variety of firefighting equipment. The one I was crew on had a portable diesel pump. The main firepump was a bit bigger. You had to declutch the port engine from the prop gearbox and engage the firepump. The firepump was then driven by a 485 bhp, 14 litre Caterpillar V8 ![]() ![]() ![]() Produced a lot of water ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
