Does anyone want free Sky+??

I have just recieved a promo from Sky to try and get me to recommend someone. In return I would be upgraded to a Sky+ 160.

So the deal is - I need to recommend someone to have the Sky+ installed before th end of this month. Cost for the box and Installation is £50 which I would pay for you in return for me getting the new box.

You would get the Sky+ Box, Installed, 3 months half price TV and £50 from me.

More info at - http://www.sky.com/ordersky/equipment/skyplus

I'm just about to upgrade to sky+ as well.

I used to install sattelite dishes/tv aerials and I never came across a house I couldn't fit a dish onto one way or another.

Official Sky 'engineers' just dont bother doing anything that looks remotely difficult/different/challenging etc. I fitted a dish to the side wall of a house that was over a pitched garage roof once that sky 'Engineers' refused due to health and safety or something, was only just above ground floor ceiling level too??

My dish is in the back garden on a pole mount bolted to a paving slab and hidden (ish) between trees as we are completely surrounded by trees.

A good independant engineer will be able to fit you a dish one way or another!

They would get standard Sky+ free of charge (Cost £299 when I got mine) Yes it does record 2 channels at once aand allows you to pause live TV etc..

The link above has all the specs of the Sky+ box.

Again if you use the link to Sky above there is a calculator. The subs for the extra reciever in the + box is £10 but if you spend over about £28 it's free.

Also if you took all the channels now you could benefit from the full package over Xmas and then reduce to suit you after the 3 months half price.

You should reckon on £34 a month, that gives you plenty of misc channels and one premuim pack of the sports or movies as well as free Sky+ subscription

We get much better value from ours now we've got the +box. It allows you to record more, and watch more of your package. The pause and rewind is worth it's weight in gold too. It's handy to watch something and blitz through the adverts.

Buy 160Gb hard drive for less than £50 and upgrade your box yourself. It's a doddle. If you are having no probs with your Pace or Amstrad box then why switch to a Thomson 160+ that may give you grief?

I am fully aware that I can upgrade my current system but that isn't the route I want to take.
