My mate has just taken a new mobile contract through e2save - a subsidiary of carphone warehouse - and got a free Ipod Video!

I've not looked at how competitive the deals are because I'm not up for a new contract and accompanying new mobile number but from a quick look at the site there seem to be deals with a free Ipod, PSP and Xbox 360.

Somebody might spot something in the tariffs maybe but my mate is dead chuffed!

e2save, onestopphoneshop are offshoots of CPW. I think there is another one too but it's name escapes me at the moment.

Dialaphone is, yet none of the call centre staff seem to acknowledge it, except the management. I just terminated a contract early but threatened to terminate all 3 I hold with CPW unless they give me my money back. The allowed the termination of one offending contract and gave the money back in order to keep the other 2.

I got my wifes contract with e2save with a free PSP thrown in. Sold both the phone and the PSP which paid the contract almost in full...

I worry about these deals. . . what if one of these offshoot companies suddenly 'dissapears' 10 months into a 12 month contract when you're relying on £300 cashback or something to strike the deal even.
I generally go by the motto "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is".

Payments are paid at intervals throughout the contract.
