| Briskodian | Electronic overseas Bank Transfers I'v just booked a holiday for a group of us going to Sardinia in July. We are required to pay the deposit in Euros via an electronic bank transfere. I have all the details of the account it needs to go to, but I have no idea how to go about doing it. Is it the same as a transfer in the UK? ind what do I do regarding the rponds and Euros, do I just convert it and pay the equivalent in pounds? Does anyone know if there is any charge for doing this? |

| Re: Electronic overseas Bank Transfers I'd go to your bank and do it from there, just coz I'm paranoid. As for charges - there is a charge for this, and it's usually quite a noticable one. I used to need to transfer money between NL and GB about once a year and IIRC it was about 5% or 10% charge to do it electronically. Hopefully you'll get a better deal than that ![]()

| Briskodian | Re: Electronic overseas Bank Transfers Usually your bank will charge a flat fee! My babk (Barclays) Charges about £20!!! Can't you pay on your debit/credit car it will then get automatically converted to Euros and it won't cost you nowt!!! |

| who...? | Re: Electronic overseas Bank Transfers The cost can vary with the type of transfer. My bank offers an 'express' and 'economy' transfer. The ecomony is cheaper but takes a little longer. As you are paying for a holiday, there is no desperste rush to get the funds to the other bank. If you use a credit/debit card check to see if an additional fee is levied, my bank charges an extra 2.75%. AndyC
