Some scumbag dole dossing waster decided that today he didnt need to pay for a car stereo he open my window with a brick and take mine. only popped into town for 10 mins, luckily he didnt realise my ipod was hardwired into it also,and didnt bother with other stuff luckily as i carry thousands of pounds worth of paramedic equipment in the boot so i can attend to people in my village.

what are peoples feelings on how to stop these people as the police are to understaffed?
i think it should be like the arabs chop thier hands off. harsh but might deter others

Police won't do anything about it mate - they'll tell you that you should have kept your valuables out of view or summit.

Seems to me that they aren't really interested in catching people like this anymore, they'd rather just make money off us motorists!

Sorry to here about your loss but you'll be lucky to get a crime number, the only way to meat an officer would be if you succesfully caught the little gits and doled out some justice, unfortunately it would then be you the police found time to arrest.

got a crime number as know most of the feds, when i rang they said wait someone will come to look at car, i told em not to bother as it was already having window replaced, luckily and i didnt know this if u have your window replaced through insurance it doesnt affect your no claims as i was gonna replace myself......had it done at auto glass if i had paid myself £161.77 nearly fell over it was front passenger side....so i asked for emg services discount would still have been 129. still at least no other damage to car.

Forget to say.. make sure you still have a tax disc.. scroats round here tend to have these high on their shopping list and people don't notice there missing, also service books if left in glove compartment.

its crumpled but didnt get either, so must have been disturbed,hope it was an old dear who disturbed him then fair enough not doing anything.....if it was a geezer should have lamped him, i saw a scumbag robbing a car last year and dragged him to police station.

we need a new look on crime and punishment,when i was in the army u never stole as u knew what would happe ...n.....this political correctness rubbish has gone to far imo.....if u do a crime u get what u deserve

Having a go at the Police isn't the way forward. It's a VERY difficult job and one that is controlled by the law itself. The Police don't make the law. If you think the job is easy then you are very much mistaken.
This type of criminal activity has been going on for donkeys years and things are still similar now.
Sorry to hear about your damage, they are little barstewards and should face stiff penalties.

Sadly I think this has happened to most people at some point, and it's one of the reasons why I've never upgraded the radio in my Octy.

As for punishment, I think a warning shot through the head would do the trick.

Harsh but fair.

Sorry to hear about your stereo, they were probably after it to pay for drugs

My sis has had her stereo stolen a few times if she happened to be parked in Bristol city centre at night. Luckily, this has never happened to me where I live. We tend to get the wing mirror snappers or badge stealers. God help them if I ever caught them.

The trouble is most of them are just kids and laugh at the fact that they can get away with it because of their age. It's the laws fault, not the police. Isn't it amazing how we can bring in new laws immediately that deal with terrorism (thankgod) but when it comes to these little ****s the law doesn't reflect the society that we're living in and therefore offering no deterents.
