| Fundraising for LUPUS UK It's not very often I write a serious post but here goes. In 2003 Sam, my step son, was diagnosed with Systemic Erythematosus Lupus which is a disease that affects the immune system and is currently incurable. It was a very hard time for all of us especially Sam and Julie but we had great support from a charity called LUPUS UK. As a result of this I have decided that via Mini Road Runner Rallying it is time to give LUPUS UK something back in return for their support and as a result our cars that we are competing in this year will be sporting LUPUS UK stickers and we will have collection boxes at our service areas. To help people who can't make donations physically we have set up a fundraising web page at which people can make donations via credit card etc. The adress of this site is: Justgiving - Help us support LUPUS UK there is also a link to it from Mini Road Runner Rallying You can find out more about LUPUS UK at LUPUS UK :: Welcome We have set an initial target of raising £250 but I would love to be able to raise £1000. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

| Re: Fundraising for LUPUS UK A colleague of mine has a form of Lupus and when it hits it's really bad affecting everything from the joints to being able to think clearly. I wish your step son well and good luck with the fundraising.

| Re: Fundraising for LUPUS UK Out own Vikki_Vrs (aka SWMBO) also suffers from this. To sav the disease is devistating is an understatement though Vikki does cope extremely well. I will certainly be donating as I hope others will likewise. The charity has certainly helped Vikki out numerous times. Forenote Vikki would post her but her user account is currently locked (mods please can you help - thanks).

| Briskodian | Re: Fundraising for LUPUS UK FAO Andy, I tried but failed The pay site doesn't seem to give me an option for a Mastercard secure code password (which I already have), without applying for a new one that is. ![]() I can only offer a small donation and know nothing, but I do know that it is heartwarming when people offer help because they want to and one truely hopes that such help will be available to others. | Re: Fundraising for LUPUS UK Thanks for everyone who has donated ![]() I've had a few people asking if they can pay by cheque and the answer is yes. You can make your cheque payable to LUPUS UK and send it to me and I shall pass it on. If you are paying by cheque and want to allow gift aid you can fill in the form below and send it along with your cheque. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/appendix_b1.pdf PM me for my address. Thanks again for support.
