| Re: Girlfriend might have depression A bit of an update.. We went to the counsellor today and he thinks that she is suffering from 'extreme stress' triggered by our holiday and the house renovation but relating to things that happened when she was a lot younger. I think we both feel relieved as stress seems more manageable than depression. Her employer only pays for 6 sessions with the counsellor but we have already decided that if she needs more we will pay for them as I/we want her to get properly better. The counsellor also thinks he should be able to help her stop stressing (as much) about things in the future (its all related apparently) so she should be able to get on and enjoy life more. I'm proud that she has made the scariest first few steps. We've just got to wait for the blood tests to come back on Tuesday now. |
