greetings from Lippstadt

some of you might remember me asking about Germany recently as i "might" have to have come over, well i have and i'm bowsing Briskoda from the comfort of an office on a customer sight in Lippstadt.

everything went well, even my first time in a lhd car on the wrong side of the road... only problem was the sat nav on my imate jam... it decided to crash once every 10 minutes when i needed it the most so a few strong words and wrong turns later i decided to trim a few of the options out and it seemed to hold.

from what i saw of it during a slight "detour" Lippstadt is a nice little town, i dont know how much of it i'll be seeing over the next few days though.

saw a few Skodas, theres actually an Audi, VW & Skoda dealer down the road from where i'm working... i've seen a few octavias on the autoroute and a Fabia vRS going the other way, unfortunately i think i saw a very totalled octavia estate on the back of a low loader, i say i think it was an octy, there wasnt a straight panel on the car so i could only go by what was left of the rear light clusters.

oh and guess what the nice man at Avis has given me to drive while i'm here? a Seat... its a new shape Toledo... very odd looking car but fairly tidy inside... its a shame the engines only a 1.6 and has little to no power.

anyway... ta ra for now.

Re: greetings from Lippstadt

1.6 will have plenty of power if you rev it like crazy, which is a must for a hire car. Watch out for all th bridge mounted speed cameras in the 120 zones, I still have a very nice picture from local plod over there.

HELLO Nigel26

Have to shout as you're a few miles away now...

Glad you're doing OK.

I found RHD easy enough, if ignoring the danger of selecting reverse instead of first... Saaaah!

How long are you there for?

Mo

Ooops! meant LHD
