Not going well today........

Last night piv34uk's (Mr. Tyres) mate came round to take my car away with the intention of changing the CV joint today.

Realised at 2am that I haddnt put the locking wheel bolt key in the car after I had the wheel off at the weekend. Ended up leaving it in the proch for him to collect.

Went to make some sarnies and found I diddnt have enough bread, thought "thats' fine I'll use the canteen"

Took a 10min walk to the main road so my colleague could give me a lift to work easily, stood there I realised I dont have my wallet. No money for lunch and no money to pay the guy for the work on my car.

SO now I've gotta get either my colleague or someone else to drop me at home to collect my wallet, drop me at a cash point to get some money then take me to collect my car.

NO
- thats not a bad day!

a bad day is:
after being made redundant last week,
still no job
one 2 hour interview- part two is a half hr presentation to the 3 directors - next week so a long frustrating wait
the ex-company vRS is taken away from me Friday with Mobile , fax etc
If i dont get a job by the end of the month , the dream 25th anniversary holiday in USA is cancelled
we have £5500 of double glazing on order and ready for fitting
Its Scroot Jnr's 17th birthday next tuesday and he's starting to drive

Oh , and just for a bit of amusement.... SWMBO's cars got a puncture

Thats a bad day!!!

Re: Having a bad day

1. Got up late for work.
2. Get down stairs to find a large(ish) wet patch on the lounge carpet, no broken pipes or leaks

SWMBO's flowers from her work (in an aquapack) have fallen over in the night and water pi55ed out all over the table Had to mop this all up before leaving for work.

I now have paper maché phone, and credit card bills, a sodden wallet and a table that the water has soaked into

Re: Having a bad day

FAO Goochie: TBH That's one I would probably giggle about, cos truth's stranger than fiction and hopefully you'll get through the probs since it is the sort of thing that happens to all of us, so most folks would be accommodating

OTOH It seems to me that a Brisky group hug is called for generally - it's such a grey (gray LOL) day, that a nice hug will cheer everyone up

Altogether now:

Best
Mo

Re: Having a bad day

well, Its been a long time but after meeting up with a couple of you at Trax I'm back to annoy you..
As an update to the bad day , in case anyone is interested ... no? oh well i'll say it anyway

The job presentation resulted in a job offer which i accepted. Much happier with the new one although money is lower but good prospects for the future
Got a new cpmpany car - sadly skoda were not on the list so now got an Astra cdtdi 150 which so far has been very good and pretty quick- just lacks a little something compared with the Vrs
We did the USA trip which was worth every penny a wonderful place.
and the scrutineering bookings have been really busy which helps the money .... been heavily involved in the drift racing championship this year which IMHO is one of the best forms of motorsport running- and i see a lot of motorsport!
so althings considered the year got a lot better .... oh except the double glazing - I though Anglian were one of the best .... sadly I was wrong - IMHO the windows are overpriced rubbish and their customer service is a joke

Re: Having a bad day

it sounds like one of those days like when you shut your front door behind you and then you realise that you've left your keys inside and then you remember that swmbo who is currently 250 miles away has got the only other keys!

Glad to hear everything turned out ok.

Re: Anglian - The windows we had fitted a year or so ago don't seem too bad to
me but I completely agree about their customer service which is non-existent
