| Re: Life on Mars New Labour propaganda if you ask me: 'Ooh look how caring and cuddly the police are compared to what they used to be, and you'll never get fitted up for something you didn't do. No sir, not like the old days...' Plus the whole confounding his boss by using a tape to record interviews / reading the suspect his rights etc. etc. thing makes the show a bit of a 'one joke wonder' in my eyes. Proper Sweeney on Men and Motors for me, any day...

| Re: Life on Mars It is quite funny but they are muddling up the seventies and the eighties a bit.....and how long will it be before you see the same parked cars cropping up all over the place ![]()

| Re: Life on Mars Yet to watch episode 3, but after the first two it's just '21st century policing in the dark ages of 1973' and a bit like Heartbeat, which is just a soap with old cars and clothes, no doubt this is what Life on Mars will turn into... They also have used eighties Allegroes as Police cars, the TVs turn on too quick (oi, remember they had to warm up!) and other mistakes - so the details are not as perfect as they could be, and the climax of episode two was so obviously done on a budget it made it pathetic. Bah humbug..... |
