Drove back to parents to find the A31 after M27 has a sudden speed drop from 70 to 50 which wasn't there 2 days ago at the weekend.

It's annoying because it is a long open stretch of dual carriage way, almost motorway quality with few if any roads comming onto it. There are a couple of roundabouts etc, but this is very annoying and nobody apart from me was sticking to the 50 making me a danger to those going at the old limit.

To top it off, no warning, nothing to make it obvious there is a new limit and what I think was a bleeding tali-van sat in a bus stop just after the new limit.

No doubt they needed to raise some funds for the next Dorset dual carriage way speed reduction.

Can anyone explain to me why dual carriage ways are suddenly all going 50, while the bendy, often foggy/flooded roads that feed onto it are all still at national speed limit (60).

Dosen't the New Speed limit have to be advertised for a number of weeks to allow motorists to become aware of the new speed. The speed limit can't be changed without notice.............Can It....

i drove down and back at the weekend and not a sniff, go down again today after staying at other half's place yesterday and it's now 50 :S
