New boss sought.

Casuals and numpties need not apply, I am looking for a new boss/bod for this here place...

Ideally you should be skilled in PHP, Linux, css, mysql and so on, although not vital, however there is no training budget. Experince of using Mambo, vBulletin also useful, but again I can train you in these, although some would argue differently. If you have the underlying skills I seek, then I'll know, but I'm not being specific, as you will also know.

The most important asset is your think like me or at least look at similar lights at the end of the tunnel. As such even if you are not technical at all I may consider you. Presently it's a technical gap, but that could change given the right person(s).

*** IT IS A TIME CONSUMING ROLE ***

There is no payment, except in grief, keeping stum, causing more problems through action or inaction. But occasionally joy from seeing things work out so you have been warned!

Note to staff, any of you are welcome as well, in fact a few of you should hide incase I volunteer you

Above all else you must actually look forward to the challenges presented.

Email webmaster @ briskoda if interested, although I may be some time in responding owing to lifes little game of other commitments.

Thanks for reading what maybe for some a little out of the blue...I'm not leaving yet

/Don't PM me please on this...emails is fine as I'm the only reader for that account. Or ask any questions here...

Would there be a company car?

Two weeks ago I'd have jumped at this but not now as circumstances have changed.

@Andy...: No company car; unless a dealer wishes to make one available...but as you say things in life change, hence people come and go.

@ Fabia 12v...:There is no working under anyone here...honestly it's pretty much by co-operation, although I do volunteer folk at times for some things.

@ Dave...:Either or, but neither of those really. Can't see myself in a black and white departure unless somthing amazing happens, like I die, which is an option every day, hence it's a spreading the risk / future proofing move really.

Definitely good for not having all your eggs in one basket.

I'd volunteer if I even had any of those skills mentioned above...but I don't Wouldn't mind learning some stuff though, but it would be just personal gain / achievement and nothing I could apply to my job.

Jason, why not?

The skills as you put it are applicable to many jobs. It's a platform for development of fringe skills as well. I'd be happy to do tech, if they were a figures/other half/third etc type person etc...

I don't break things, I invent...ways not to do it again.

I'm with bpm, you have big shoes.......... Most clowns do

Honestly though, I wonder if a team effort world work best. Afterall you stick with Briskoda because it is your "baby". Someone else may be more inclined to throw in the towel.

Have you thought about farming responsibility out to more than one person?

With this many ppl on the board, with a combined effort, it would be a breeze.

Personally, I'd jump at this chance, but am not technical in the roles you are wanting. I'm an Windows/IIS/Perl man myself.....

Said my bit, now where's my beer.

Many roles already are, although I would not say farmed out as they in cases do as much as I if not more in some ways.

This i really to attempt to replace a gap and cover risk. After all it's a very small step beyond a bedroom development now and one must have holidays even from somthing you create.

Hi Colin

As a non-techie, I'm quite willing to put myself forward for the job. Appointing me would have the added advantage of frightening most members away, thus making the running of the site a whole lot easier to manage all round

Also, my handwriting is quite good

Colin, if you're after more humble support in the form of an extra moderator so you don't have to keep control of those rollerskate vs taxi or black vs yellow threads, I'll volunteer
