its very useful, we used it becuase you can get on and off as you like all day...so used to to go downtown to Battery Park, chinatown, little Italy, greenwich village, pier 17..then upto the UN building and all the way up to central park

there are 2 main companies doing them now..one load have the lads dressed all in red and white and the other lot are dressed in yellow..I paid about 40 dollars for the 2 of us for all day use..they are on just about every street corner around times square and around 42nd street/top end of broadway..loads of them about

Also the best thing is that the buses were made in Falkirk. Remember one running round with New York sightseeing on it, when they were testing it!

I've just got back from New York and went on the tour, I think the one you are after is the Gray Line tour who have an office in Time Square and at the Port Authority bus terminal. There is also one on blue buses which is called something like CitySights but we didn't use them.

I would defintely recommend the Night Tour for anyone planning a trip, it all seems very different (and more impressive) at night time.

Oh, and I went on United and had the Chicken on the way there and Beef on the way back, I can confirm that the Beef is pretty foul, but the chicken wasn't a whole lot better. The Twix was good though

my missus said that..I think she was expecting gangs of gun toting rap artists to be prowling the streets...but walking around felt really safe..there is a very visible police presence so nobody ever seems to cause any bother

no charvas either
I wandered rounds times square at midnight and there was thousands of people there..but nobody shoved or shouted or swore at the top of their voices.....I got back and after 20 minutes in Newcastle city centre I would have happily machined gunned everybody!
