A news item today...

... that some pigs had been "modified" with genes from fluorescent jellyfish so that they are green (and presumably glow in the dark). The idea being for stem-cell research since it will allow tracking of movement within the body.

So, at least when pigs fly, we'll be able to see them

Wondering why cars don't have fluorescent paint though? Drivers prefer cyclists and pedestrians to be visible, so why not a stripe across the front and back of cars?

Also wondering why we can't all paint our cars like police cars I guess there must be a rule about marking vehicles, but it'd be a good wheeze though wouldn't it?

Suppose it means they won't have to wear hi-viz vests when directing traffic.
