Thumbs down not having a good month

it all started 2 weeks ago when the van got broken into, they nicked the works pda and my bluetooth headset.

then a week later a stray bungee came loose from its mounting and twanged me in the nuts, very painful indeed.

then last weekend the van got done over again.

am now having to take part in investigatory interviews about the van getting broken into. w@nkers.

then today the following happened

whilst driving down a perfectly straight bit of dry road at abour 45-50(in a NSL) a deer decided it was time to bolt so i went into full on panic mode and hit the brakes whilst trying to turn round the bloody thing. long story short it lift off over steered into a hedge then caught on a stump and toppled over.

what the bloody hell is gonna happen next???

Did a nice lady in a Fabia stop and offer to tow you back onto the road?

Ah Lummox's post makes sense now!

The most important thing is you are OK and nobody was hurt. Sod the van that can be fixed.

Re: not having a good month

Glad you are OK. Could have been different.

Works van , sod it.

Have done something similar myself in a works van and at the time i was more worried about it than myself. Ah how foolish I was.

Did anyone call the "hows my driving" number whilst it was there?

Re: not having a good month

I rolled a Tranny on the M1 once, trying to avoid a truck tyre that had blown out and de-laminated infront of us, it was a really old totally f*cked transit, D reg with those double rear wheels, the most dangerous part was all the tools and tins of paint flying of the shelves in the back onto the sleeping co-workers in their sleeping bags!!

Tin of paint on the head while rolling over wakes you up every time!!

Maybe but didn't it flee the scene? No i mean if you have an accident in a vehicle other than your own, you should tell your own insurance company i think. Not sure many people do though.

As good an effort as that was to join the Briskoda Inverted Members Association (BIMA) I'm afraid that doesn't quite qualify. 5/10 is my score though.

Trying to inject some into a depressing time for you. Hope you were OK.

cheers J

the van does indeed have ABS but its shockingly bad and ABS will never help against lift off over steer in a vehicle weighing 2.5 tonne

I think you've done well actually, a friend of mine rolled a tractor and was struck mid roll by a flying adjustable spanner knocked him out cold. Just as well you diddnt get a pair of wire cutters in the eye or something.
