Spiked?????

Strange, SWMBO and I went down to the borders today and on the way back up we stopped for a bite of lunch in a hotel.

I had a Steak and she had some pork dish, my steak had the usual garni with it and the half a grilled tomato, as i had a bit of the tomato I recognised a flavour and said to SWMBO this tastes like Grass (Not the field stuff) thought it was just me so continued to eat on, when she finished her meal she said "You know what , mine had a bit of a taste of that about it too, more of an aftertaste"

We laughed about it and said it was probably a ploy to get you to have a dessert as you would have the munchies.

Now about three hours on I can only describe my current state as mellow and stoned.

Couple of concerns for me.

I have just driven over 100 miles from the restaurant.

SWMBO is now out driving.

I have random drugs tests at work with a zero tolerance approach to usage.

I'm wondering what I should do primarily to cover my **** at work incase I get tested and probably as importantly if I am correct make sure this doesnt happen to anybody else?

Go to the doc's and explain my situation and ask for a test? I can hardly go phoning the restaurant and throwing wild accusations when what i might have actually got was a sprig of funky tasting parsley.

Tbh, if you're that concerned then get to a doc. Better safe than sorry.

And if you have been spiked then find the local dealer and make it worth while before telling work.

I'm not overly concerned about the actual effects of what I may have been given as I am more than aware of what it does, and to be honest I have never enjoyed afternoon telly so much for a while now

but without proof that I have anything in my system I cant go shouting at the restaurant, what if it was my daughters meal?

I'd think the chance of you getting food spiked would be pretty small.

Spit in it, drop it on the floor and serve it, maybe. But not wasting any of his stash.

I read some years ago in the newspaper that a place in China was closed down because of cooking with opium poppies. Gave a tingle to the food and people liked to come back...

Perhaps a Brisky meet at the place you went to could be arranged?

The only thing I'd say would be that it'd be blinking difficult to prove, if there were something found in your's and the Missus' systems, that it came from eating of food in a particular restaurant.

On the "not happen to others", I suppose you could contact health and safety because you weren't happy with, er, something, and see how long it was since the restaurant was last checked out since it's just possible that it might be a bacterial thingy which would not be good

Funnily enough we left a fiver on a £32 quid bill so suppose not unusually large

Its not even a snack, its another level after snack, they are the true king of snacks. They put nice n' spicy nick nacks to shame.
