| Go Gadget Octy! | Useless Estate Agent and their fee's Long story short: - Signed with major UK agent in May - Original buyer vanished, and agent didnt chase until 6 weeks after offer accepted - New buyer found, accepted lower offer end July as fist time buyer, ready to go lost out on a proiperty when vendor removed from market - on understanding completion before October 1st (due to long time planned hol for 30th bday) - since august be re-itterating dealine. - waited 3 weeks and chased daily with agent before survey done - buyer's mortgage got rejected on technicality to do with our flat (apparently) - buyers mortgage eventually approved, but didnt know that she's actually gone on hol - so add another 2 weeks (thanks for telling me agent!) - Chasing searches, only to find her solicitor is away (again on the last day of HER 2 week hol) - meet buyer in person, explain importance of 1st Oct and reasons. Buyer also wants to complete by 28th. _ I pull out all stops to ensure everything my end (inc getting landlords enquiry responses back in record 5 days rather than their standard 28!!!!!!!!), signed our sale contract saturday (purchase finished, but not exchanged, back in august) all sorted except my buyer. Cue today, when I actually leanr the searches were finished last Tuesday, and that they are still awaiting the leasehold pack from my sols. Tel my sols who say this was sent 3 weeks ago! So I've had to pay to have gaurenteed del by 9am tomorrow of EVERY single page, postit, staple etc they've already been sent. All this 4 days before we NEED to complete. Throughout the biatch at the agent has been so laid back, I have litterally had to call everyday (sometimes twice), and today EVERY 30 minutes just to get an answer. Obv I dontb think they're worth the 1%+VAT they're expecting to get. So what would you do? Get my sols to pay, and dispute with head office, OR the sol said I can settle direct, then choose what I do. Bearing in mind I'm away for nearly all of October, I'm not keen on this option. Kicking off at the branch gets no response, so HO is the only option IMO. |

| Re: Useless Estate Agent and their fee's explain to them at head office level that you have found their service unacceptable and that you will pay them sometime soon if they can be bothered to contact you and arrangeto come and collect the cheque. and then change your phone number
