Default 17" alloys on a Scout? Option?

Hi guys - wife is getting a Scout - and I remember when they first came out looking at website and 17's being an option - now though it looks like you can only have the standard 16's - looking at brochure and website. Any Skoda insiders or knowledge type peeps set me straight on this one? Ta

Ask the dealer. Cruise isn't listed as an option on the Scout but you can have it fitted.

Be careful though, these will increase cabin noise and probably comprimise the ride a little.

The option code is WBA and they're £300.

They look like this

They look fantastic - fill the arches out nicely, and £300 is not going to break the bank. Thanks for all your help guys.

have a look at some of my old posts about my roomster scout. it had 17s on it. looked great but it DOES effect ride quality. ive got a level 3 fab now and the ride is so much softer, and those tyres arent that tall!
the tyres on teh 17's are tiny!

Good point mate - had plenty of big rims on other cars so I know what you are saying - I'll see what the Mrs says - but I fancy having the Roomster off her in a couple of years, so nudge, nudge, wink, wink....

i wonder if you could use use 5mm taller tyres on them. after all there is lots of spare space under the arches. i think they come with 40's so you could try 45's when the tyres need doing

Not trying to be picky. Yet for the sake of accuracy I believe that's an aspect ratio... So a 205/45-R16 or a 205/40 -R17 are that % of the 1st #the width of the tread(which is up too 5mm off from the manufacturer): 205x.45=gives you roughly 92.25mm of sidewall on a properly inflated tyre of course on top, 205x.40=82mm with the rest of the difference made up by the 1" larger diameter of the rim. Here try these links to make +/- wheel & tyre upgrades!!!
Tire code - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Explains in much more detail than any of us may really need...
Tire size calculator nice visual calculator.
Tyre Calculator - Alloy Wheels - Specialist supplier of alloy wheels and tyres packages, 0% Finance and Fast Delivery a little more technically inclined may find useful.
TyreTest.com - Tyre reviews - an independent consumer survey useful for reviews of tyres one might wish to purchase.
Wheel Offset Calculator an offset calculator{think this one was made by one of the boys over on SeatCupra.net when wanting to push his rear wheels out a bit for stability & looks}...

Yet WoodenSpatulas is on the right lines Just use the calculators to see how far you might be off...
