Roomster Cruise control

Hi folks

Now it's back as an option as of July, does anyone know the price and availability of Cruise for the Roomster. Anyone here done a retro fit? I am handy enough with my spanners and have VagCom for coding it.

I am hoping to track one down and fit it before we disappear off on the family holiday to Center Parks and then touring around the relatives / friends in Germany at the end of August.

Cheers Folks

Re: Roomster Cruise control

Not a nice job by the looks of it Tony, it requires some holes to be drilled in the bulkhead. I'll have a chat with you about it when you call me to discuss email

Re: Roomster Cruise control

I was quoted £380 inc VAT by my local Skoda maindealer to supply and fit cruise to my Roomster 2 1.9 TDi last weekend. I was a bit shocked by this cost as they "only" charged me £150 to retrofit my Mk 1 Octy vRS. The service advisor told me it was a 5 hour job as opposed to 1 1/2 hour for the Octy.

Re: Roomster Cruise control

Yep that's about right it is quoted as 300 minutes IIRC.

Re: Roomster Cruise control

Cheers for this folks. Local dealer didn't know if it could be done, so has offered 150 towards it...I can go for a bit more now I hope.

Shame it's such a mare, got an ex demo lined up with every option I want except cruise...

Which is the only thing I really need...

It's an entire new control stalk (wipers / indicators) and the bulkhead needs to be drilled to run a wire through to the leccy box in the engine bay containing the relays etc iirc. Not forgetting of course to zinc prime the hole in the bulkhead after cutting to prevent rust ......... tiz a biggie just for cruise, but I am still going to do it when I have the time

Pah - Just give all my secrets away eh Tony

Yeah it is quite a job Sarah, 300TU's for the official workshop time. I'd love to know what Skoda would charge for that
