Roomster Questions

Ok, time to start acting all N00b like

Can anyone help me with the following questions;

1. Are the Roomster wheels 5x100?
2. Would the Fabia Jabba ARB fit it?
3. Does anyone have one with 17"s fitted and did the effect the ride/handling?
4. When you bought yours, where you able to haggle the price down a bit?

I know some of these might seem a bit daft but if you do know the answers lets have them

Re: Roomster Questions

1. ?
2. Dunno, but most probably not
3. Dunno, but the 205/45x16 Bridgestones fitted as standard to the Scout I noticed seem to me to be noisier than the tyres that are fitted to the Roomster 2 1.4 and 1.9 tdi that I road tested. Probably grip better as well.
4. Not any movement on price but they offered a very good p/ex deal and fitted the extras I wanted FOC!
Hope this helps.

Re: Roomster Questions

Ahhh yeah.

Pick the demo up tomorrow for 2 days. Ill give it a good going over

I really like the look of the Scout with 17"s... just can't see too much point if they are going to ruin the poise!

I have a VRS to trade so we will have to see.

Re: Roomster Questions

I'm 99% sure they use a 5x100. I believe the Fabia 2 does as well. Was a little surprised, as VAG tend to be using 5x112 more and more these days.

Re: Roomster Questions

WHEELS. PCD, offset, and centre spigot diameter, then the second section 'Measuring PCD'.

Re: Roomster Questions

The Jabba ARB won't fit either. It's completely different underneath.

Re: Roomster Questions

Price - got alot knocked off

Simply took it for a test drive & waited for the usual phone call

Found the same model cheaper on the net by about 2k & I know it would be delivered to my dealers garage.

When I told them they matched the price but I didnt accept so they then told me they could knock £300 off for the extra autoglym package & the gap insurance would save another £300

went online & got better gap insurance for £160 although you can do it cheaper.
The autoglym & scotch guard I didnt want but it can be done cheaper elsewhere.

When I still didnt bite they offered me another £500 for my car
so I saved a bundle

Told a friend & he reckons he got £3k off the list price

best way to do it is to check out a few cars and just wait & they always offer better deals.

the only bad part was taking the skoda finance.
they like to charge you if you change your bank for the DD or make any amend ments - great customer service SKoda

other than that its been a great buy

Re: Roomster Questions

It seems there are deals to be had then , and that can only mean that sales arent what Skoda would want. I wonder if the same can/will be said about the new Fabia?
