|  Scout on the way ... OK, so we finally got some time together to get down to the dealer, sort the spec and chop our part-ex in ... So SWMBO will be rolling around in ... a 19Tdi Scout in Candy White w. panoramic roof, 17" alloys, etc, ordered but long delivery due to odd colour choice and extras spec ... but should be here for the new plate sometime. Hopefully its a keeper, as its got some big shoes to fill, we're retiring her (and previously my) old A4 Avant 19Tdi after 220k, its just turned 8yrs and still is solid, no squeaks or rattles and drives like its done less than half that --- so its staying in the family, but getting passed on for many more miles yet! -- Silvermog  Last edited by silvermog; 08-07-2008 at 20:54. |

I'd floated two alternatives (that got shouted down!), the Champagne or the White. Seeing a Roomster in the flesh in the Champagne (which is a funny grey colour in some lights) and the Candy white on a Fabia, swung it ... a different day (and lighting) and the Champagne was out of the running ... so Candy White it was! I found the Simpsons photos as well and as we'd spec'ed a sunroof, its pretty representative ... makes a change anyway, as the last 3 cars have been Audi silver and a wierd Mitsi champagne/gold/silver finish. Just waiting for the popemobile/ice-cream van comments from the peanut galleries ...
